This workshop will focus on the image preparation for and actual craft of screenprinting, with the objective being to familiarize students with the workshop space as well as providing them with the ability to print at home.

Participants will learn how to pull single color screen prints on paper or fabric from images they bring with them to the workshop- whether digital or analogue.
Skills covered will be image resolution/setup, screen-making (how to properly coat, expose, develop, and prepare a screen for printing), paper layout/registration setup, and basic troubleshooting and vocabulary associated with the craft.

Materials are not only provided during the course, but the price of the workshop includes a take-home kit, which is fully furnished and includes a small portable printing setup.
This kit will be including a high quality aluminum screen, a squeegee, ink, some quality paper, and everything you could need to pull you own single color prints on paper or fabric in a space the size of a regular kitchen table. All students who option into the kit will leave the class with either one imaged medium size screen or two imaged small screens, blocked out and ready to print.
