Haven Press Studio publishes prints. We try to maintain a bi-annual or quarterly cycle of artists with whom to work with on new prints.
We offer you the chance to make a printed edition simply by contacting us and requesting that we review your work. If we decide to work with you, the expenses are covered at the risk of the publisher- the proprietor of the press- in lieu of you putting up an investment.
What we ask you to invest are your ideas, your resources, and particular skillset.
So show us what you do; submit a form through our publishing program.
Past projects have included:
A book, titled "17 drawings" by artist Rob Lomblad.

large format screen-printing from digital typeface designs

.
screenprint/letterpress combinations by Carol Anne Lee about (amongst other things) Salt & Peppa lyrics

.
sequential/comic/awesome/crazy renderings in the form of a sculptural book by Pakito Bolino of Le Dernier Cri

.
intensely detailed pen-and-ink style lithography and screenprinting by Alex Passapera.

I like to work with emerging artists who have conceptual ideas about what printmaking is and can do- but lack the mechanical resources to pursue these ideas. The intent is that making a print might influence the way you work on non-print ideas. If you are not lucky enough to have been invited to collaborate but feel you are interested in our outlook on printmaking, feel free to contact us and submit a publishing form.
Please keep in mind that Haven Press Studio publishes prints, but is not a printed matter vendor or sales organization or a 'promotional machine'. We are not affiliated with any galleries or organizations that market prints. We expect you, as the artist, to market and sale/vend the work through organizations that you are entered into an established relationship with. Emerging artists are encouraged to apply- even those without representation- but we are not attempting to project the opportunity to work on a print with us as a sales or promotional opportunity.
Basically, you should only submit a form to collaborate on a publishing project if you want to make something really interesting without specifically expecting Haven Press to be the only one to sell it. Someone else is going to sell it, and therefore your interests and needs should be positioned accordingly.
